Welcome to my website. I am currently updating the images here to incorporate all the styles and genres I enjoy capturing. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did shooting them. Please bear with me while I make them in some sort of order.

I have been based in Ventnor on the south side of the Isle of Wight for over 30 years and with the changing seasons, weather and sea conditions the island always provides inspiration for my photography.

Exploring the varied vistas we have on our doorstep is very rewarding and the dramatic coastline of the island and indeed the British Isles are up there with any in the world. The seasons and our changeable weather makes it all the more interesting. I also like to travel and experience other climates and cultures and see new places. It sets the eyes free and feeds the senses. When i get the chance to travel it really gets the creative juices flowing and keeps me inspired when I am at home or in the studio. Mixed in with some of the galleries I have included images taken on recent trips to London, Morocco and the magnificent national parks of the New Forest, Peak District, Lake District and the highlands of Scotland.

It has been a long and interesting journey since I inherited my Grandpa's SLR camera in the 1980’s. I’m self taught and today I use a full frame Nikon DSLR and also a crop sensor Nikon with a lovely selection of lenses and filters. I use my camera as a tool to express my art and to record inspirational things in day to day life.

Whether I am at the beach for sunrise, midday or sunset; with the kids or for a surf; lovely and warm; or soaking wet and freezing cold; being outdoors with a camera has always been very significant in my life.

After the last 4 amazing summers selling pictures in my gallery on Ventnor Seafront I have now reopened up my studio opposite the stunning Ventnor Park. It is here where I sit and pour hours into editing, printing and making. After capturing an image, this is where the magic happens creating a final piece ready to hang in your home, office or holiday home or to give as a gift.

If you require any image in a bespoke size or colour or want to commission something totally one-off then please get in touch and I will do my best to help.
